Guest Lecture by Prof. Valérie Renaudin on Positioning and Navigation for Sustainable Mobility

On October 16th, the Pervasive Systems group had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Valérie Renaudin, Research Director at Gustave Eiffel University, France.

During her visit, Prof. Renaudin delivered an inspiring presentation on positioning and navigation for sustainable mobility, highlighting her team’s recent advancements in indoor and outdoor navigation using GNSS, inertial, and magnetic data fusion. Her talk emphasized the importance of developing navigation solutions for pedestrians and vulnerable users, contributing to safer and more sustainable mobility systems.

Prof. Renaudin leads the Geopositioning Laboratory (GEOLOC) at Gustave Eiffel University, where she directs research on innovative positioning and navigation technologies. Her international career includes roles such as Technical Director at Swissat and Senior Research Associate at the University of Calgary.

We thank Prof. Renaudin for visiting our lab and sharing her expertise, which sparked valuable discussions and potential collaborations in the fields of navigation, sensor fusion, and mobility research.
