A tool for systematic review of multimodal transport and logistics simulation techniques
Problem Statement:
One of the greatest challenges for achieving quality of service in inter-city transportation and logistics is to include multimodal transportation. In order to assess various cases where decisions need to be made regarding how and where a particular good needs to be shipped/delivered, a multimodal transport and logistics simulation can be made. The initial goal of this project is to make a detailed systematic review of existing multimodal transport and logistics simulation techniques, to determine the state-of-the-art methods and determine ideas for future work.
Tasks:
The main purpose is to develop a web-based visualization tool which will present the collected literature and information in order to help researchers to choose the right simulation technique.
Required skills: C#, python/matlab
Suggestion: Collected literature and information can be presented with interesting data visualization tools: C#, Google Charts, vis.js, RStudio, Python libraries
Work:
30% Theory, 60% programming, 10 %Writing
