biography
Dr. Bas ten Have was born in Grijpskerk, The Netherlands, in 1994. He received his bachelor degree Electrical Engineering in 2015 and his master degree Electrical Engineering in 2018. Both at the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands.
Since June 2018 he has been working as a Ph.D. candidate at the Power Electronics group (former Telecommunication Engineering group) at the University of Twente. Bas works on a project about Electromagnetic Interference on Static Energy Meters. Such static energy meters measure the energy consumption of consumers in household situations. In this project he is involved in the laboratory study that investigates cases resulting in misreadings of those static energy meters. Furthermore, he is involved in on-site testing to capture signals to which static energy meters are typically exposed to. Therefore, post-processing tools are being developed to analyze and characterize such on-site captured signals in more detail. The project should lead to new test methods and standardization of static energy meters, to ensure customer confidence in static energy meters.
