biography
Ning Zhansheng was born in Henan, China, in 1993. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Electronic Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. After graduation, he worked as a software engineer of battery management systems for 4 years in the Gotion High-tech Company, which is one of the largest power battery companies in the world. From May 2019 to October 2020, he was also a research associate at Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Since September 2022, Ning is working as a Ph.D. candida at the University of Twente on the Modelling and Testing for enhanced Battery Lifetime project. His research interests include state estimation, modeling, and life prediction of Lithium-ion power batteries. For his doctoral thesis, to extend the battery life, Ning aims to develop an artificially intelligent algorithm to realize the battery’s earlier diagnostic and prognostic based on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy.
