The 5-day intensive TEMPEST course provides a generic overview of the fundamental TEMPEST concepts and the key EMC measures to prevent compromising emanations.
This course is organized by the University of Twente and FH Aachen, University of Applied Sciences, acknowledged by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and by the Netherlands National Communications Security Agency (NLNCSA). Supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy
Each day of the course the participants will be able to apply the material from the lectures to practical table-top experiments, e.g. with radiated emission, leaky boxes and antennas, crosstalk and filters. Students will perform experiments themselves (2-4 people in one group).
BS.c./ MS.c. in Electrical Engineering & Experience (or in a related technical field) is required to grasp the material of the course fully.
We also welcome participants who do not hold a technical degree. Although an in-depth understanding of certain parts might not be accessible, you can still engage with a large part of the content gaining a deeper understanding of TEMPEST and underlying electromagnetic phenomena.
The 3-day fundamental courses are typically part of our 5-day intensive TEMPEST & EMC training program. However, we can arrange a separate offering for the 3-day course if a group of 8 to 12 participants is interested.
