UT and IIT Delhi join forces in a strategic partnership

UT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), marking a major step forward in our international collaboration efforts.

This new partnership will focus on joint research, academic exchange, and innovation, with special attention to strategic areas like semiconductors and chip design, which are of great importance to both the Netherlands and India. The collaboration builds on existing ties between UT and IIT Delhi, including alumni networks and earlier joint initiatives. It aims to strengthen UT's academic and research presence in South Asia while opening the door to broader interdisciplinary opportunities in science, technology, and innovation.

IIT Delhi is one of India's top technical universities, part of the prestigious IIT system. IIT Delhi, with more than 12,000 students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, is one of India's 23 prestigious Indian

Institutes of Technology (IITs) - premier public institutions of higher education known for excellence in science, engineering, and technology. Located in South Delhi, IIT Delhi attracts top students from across India and internationally. Much like UT, IIT Delhi values innovation and impact, making this a natural and promising partnership.

By working together, UT and IIT Delhi are laying the groundwork for a strong international alliance: one that benefits students, researchers, and society on both sides.
