It is with great sadness that we report the death of Anthony Lucas Huzău who passed away on the 1st of March 2023 at the age of 25.
Anthony was a second-year Master of Business Information Technology (M-BIT) student who started his studies at the University of Twente in September 2019. He successfully collaborated with other M-BIT students in project groups in the first year of his studies at the BIT Programme. His classmates and teachers appreciated his contributions to discussions and project work. In the last months, Anthony worked on his research with great enthusiasm as he managed to define a challenging research topic in connection with his professional experience at a local company. Anthony’s politeness and elegance stood out during his thesis work, especially when he had to confront conflicting results or points of view from literature. While following his passion during the thesis, Anthony would always strive for quality, and even when this required relevant additional work he didn’t get any shortcuts. Anthony was a hard-working professional and student.
Anthony (or Tony as he would prefer) will be deeply missed. Our condolences go out to Tony’s family and friends, including his close friends in the Master’s BIT programme and at UT. We wish everyone a lot of strength, love and courage in dealing with the loss of Anthony.
