Month of Education: one week to go!

This week's theme was the Student Perspective on the Future of Education. Next to employees, a lot of students attended the sessions which led to a heated debate! "Both discussions were very inspiring and I really liked the combination of the academic, social and student based perspective. I have heard many different creative ideas about how education can develop, which makes me excited about what education will look like in the future", said one of the attendees.
After Whit Monday, there are two more days left to attend. On Tuesday we will focus on the Stakeholder Perspective and on Thursday you can design the Future of Education yourself.

7 June: Stakeholder Perspective
An exceptional day since we have a guest from outside the UT-community. But first the study advisors will share their views on study guidance of the future. After this, our guest: Anne-Roos Renkema. She works as a policy advisor at Universities of the Netherlands (UNL), the Dutch association of universities. She will discuss national trends in education policy – especially on educational innovation.

Furthermore, we have organised an interesting micro lecture workshop with Peter Groothengel. Who will help you to develop and produce video micro lectures with H5P.
Are you looking for a whiteboard solution to use in online lectures and in your videos, but you struggle with the fact that normal whiteboards always require you to look back and forth? With a lightboard you get all the benefits of a whiteboard but better! A lightboard is a whiteboard made of glass in front of you, so you can see the students (or the video camera) while writing on the lightboard. Sounds like magic? Register and try it out yourself during a workshop!

9 June: Design the Future of Education
Do you want to steer and influence the future to improve education at the University of Twente? In this workshop, you will work on real themes in education in a multidisciplinary team guided by professional coaches. In three phases you will explore the broad context of a theme and how it relates to your personal experience and background. There are only a few spots left so register quickly!

Best Poster Award & Closing session
At the end of the afternoon, we will look back on the Month of Education. During the closing session, the Best Poster Award will be handed out to the poster who got the most votes.  Which idea, presented on a poster by colleagues, has got the most votes from the attendants?
The closing session ends with groups presenting their view on the future of education, elaborated on during the workshop earlier that day. The Month of Education will be closed with drinks and we would love to see you there!
