Launch of the new Interaction Technology Master's programme

Last Friday 7 September, Thom Palstra officially launched the Interaction Technology Master's programme in the SmartXP in the presence of the new ITech students and staff. The rector noted how the UT’s High Tech Human Touch mentality is embodied in the Interaction Technology programme.

The event, which included a demo market of Interaction Technology related projects and posters of the first-year students, was organized by Randy Klaassen and Khiet Truong. Alma Schaafstal, Dirk Heylen and Stephan Maathuis took the opportunity to address the audience. The event ended with a barbecue for the Interaction Technology staff and students.

The program of the former Master Human Media Interaction has been revisited at all levels, resulting in a new and sharper vision and a mixture of already existing courses with new courses relating to social robots, research methods for interaction technology and also storytelling. Some 50 students started the programme this week.
