KMHW Young Talent Encouragement Award for two students at faculty of EEMCS

The Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen) annually awards Young Talent Encouragement Awards to students with the best study results in the engineering and sciences courses in the first academic year.

Arthur Rump, BSc student of Computer Science, receives the Encouragement Award 2018 in the discipline computer science & technical computer science of 500 euro in recognition of his exceptional study results.

Matthew Maat, BSc student of Applied Mathematics, receives the Encouragement Award 2018 in the discipline applied mathematics of 500 euro in recognition of his exceptional study results.

The festive awards ceremony will take place on Monday 26 November 2018 in Haarlem. During the afternoon more than 60 prizes of 500 Euro will be awarded to students who have achieved the best results of the first year program in each of the engineering and sciences bachelor courses, including computer science and technical computer science.

A number of companies and organizations make the awards available: ORTEC, Stichting Physica, Shell Global Solutions International, KNVI, NWO-ENW, Philips, Royal Van Wijhe Verf, Océ, Port of Amsterdam, LVNL, KNMP, KNMG and Enza Zaden. The awards are presented by the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW).

This means that Monday 26 November quite a delegation from Twente will be present in Haarlem to receive awards. Besides Arthur and Matthew, Thijs van Ede and Meike Nauta will also receive their awards. Djurre van der Wal received his award on 1 November. Congratulations!
