Thursday 20 October Ivan Stojanovic had his PHD defence. Due to technical problems we could not announce this earlier. Nevertheless congratulations.
The title of his defence was: SPRi Cytometry – sensitively sensing the sensitive side of cells
His promotor was: prof.dr. J.L. Herek
During his time as a PhD student Ivan has focused on developing a new way to study live cells in a label-free manner. This means that there would be no need for adding coloring or radioactive agents which usually are needed in traditional cell analysis techniques. He developed his method using Surface Plasmon Resonance imaging (SPRi).
