An Invite from the BMS Lab
On the 26th of October, the BMS Lab hosted an event open to all staff members and students, inviting the Interaction Lab to participate. We had great talks by Harald Vonkeman, Tahnee Heirbaut, and Simon Langener, who spoke about the benefits of applying technology in healthcare. During the demo market, our team had the opportunity to offer workshops on Figma and Unity, teaching participants about design and 3D environments.
It was amazing to see so many great minds together! We also want to thank the BMS Lab for the collaboration! If you are interested in such events, make sure to follow our social media to receive future updates.
This Month’s Events
Virtual reality refers to the use of computer modelling to simulate a three-dimensional experience. With this technology, we can create and explore different environments in a very realistic way. Are you interested in it? Want to further explore the field? Then you are lucky because this month’s theme is VR, which means all our events will be connected to it.
Science Soup - VR for Meetings: a lunch talk by Paolo Barzon about his thesis on VR platforms for business meetings, based on his internship at TNO. No sign-up necessary, just walk in!

Hack the Night - Create with VR: a time to further experiment and discover the world of virtual reality. Our team members will be present to answer any questions you may have, and you are free to use our equipment to check what you can come up with!
