The Rector Magnificus would like to announce that Prof.dr. Johannes Schmidt-Hieber, appointed by the Executive Board of the University of Twente as Professor of Statistics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, will be giving a lecture in the Prof. ir. M.P. Breedveld-room of the Waaier building at 4 p.m. precisely on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 to mark the occasion of his appointment.
The title of this lecture will be: Towards a theoretical foundation of machine learning.
