Jonathan was born in Vilvoorde (Belgium) in 1978. In 2010, after discovering his passion for energy, electronics and computer science, he started to study a bachelor of technical informatics at the Saxion universtity of applied sciences. At the moment he is doing the pre master Embedded Systems at the university of Twente while working on different projects like the iCARE project and the Smart home.
