UT Team Wins MOPTA Competition

For the second time, a team from the University of Twente won the MOPTA competition.

Victor Reijnders, Martijn Schoot Uiterkamp, and Mike Visser, three master students of applied mathematics, developed a model to manage large portfolios of projects under the supervision of Bodo Manthey. They were selected as one of only two teams to participate in the finals of the MOPTA Competition, which took place as part of the International Optimization Modeling Conference in Bethlehem, PA, USA on July 21st, 2015. At the finals, they won the first prize based on the model they had developed, the written report, and the presentation that they had given at the conference.
