DMB team taking part in Self Driving Challenge

With only ️2 weeks left to the grand finale, we are proud to present our team: "Team Twenty!"

On June 16, the RDW Test Centre in Lelystad transforms into the ultimate playground for anyone passionate about AI, robotics, automotive tech, embedded systems and future mobility.

Our team combines Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students from different backgrounds, all working together on perception, control, system integration and testing. Our mix of experience and perspectives helps us tackle autonomous driving from every angle.

💡 What excites us
Seeing how sensors, AI and control systems come together into one intelligent system. For Team Twente, the most rewarding moment is when concepts from the classroom start working in the real world.

🧠 How our system works
Our autonomous kart uses cameras, LiDAR and odometers to understand the environment, detect obstacles and make driving decisions in real time. From perception to steering and braking, everything works together as one integrated system.

⚙️ What we focus on
Building a robust and reliable system where perception, reasoning and control seamlessly work together under real-world conditions.

⚡ Biggest challenge
System integration. Making every component work together reliably in dynamic and unpredictable environments is one of the toughest parts of autonomous driving.

🎯 What do we want to learn
Gaining hands-on experience with complete autonomous systems while growing as engineers, collaborators and problem-solvers.
