Dimitar RanGELO Receives Prestigious Computable Award for Innovation in Crime Investigation Technology. 

Dimitar Rangelov, PhD candidate and researcher in the field of crime investigation technology, has been honored with a Computable Award 2025 for his pioneering work on AI-driven solutions for forensic investigation. This recognition underscores the growing impact of artificial intelligence in modern criminal investigation and highlights the transformative research taking place within the Netherlands.

Rangelov conducts his research within the Technologies for Criminal Investigations Research Group (TCI) at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, in close collaboration with the Police Academy. His work demonstrates how AI can significantly enhance investigative capabilities, improve efficiency, and open new possibilities in digital and forensic analysis.

The award announcement was described as a proud moment for the research group and its partners. According to TCI leadership, Rangelov’s achievement showcases not only his expertise and dedication but also the broader importance of advancing high-tech solutions for public safety.
