OpenINTEL project nominated for Dutch Data Prize 2018

The OpenINTEL project, initiated by members of DACS, in collaboration with SIDN Labs and SURFnet, has been nominated for the Dutch Data Prize 2018. The data prize is awarded annually to projects that collect unique data sets that they make accessible to other researchers. OpenINTEL was selected, together with 8 other nominees, from a total of 47 entries.

The OpenINTEL project collects a unique dataset based on active measurements of over 60% of the global Domain Name System. The project has been running since early 2015, and has to date collected almost 2.5 trillion data points. Data from the OpenINTEL project has been used by researchers all over the world, resulting in well over 20 publications to date.

The winner of the prize will be announced during the award ceremony, which will take place on November 28th, 2018.
