Oresti Banos (Biomedical signals and systems) wins PhD Prize of the University of Granada

Oresti Banos has been awarded with the University of Granada PhD Prize. This prize is awarded to the best thesis in Engineering and Technology in view of not only the quality of the PhD dissertation but particularly the impact it had in the three consecutive years after its realization.

Oresti has strong ties with the University of Granada: “I did my Masters (Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science) and my PhD in Computer Science at University of Granada (UGR). After I finished my PhD I continued to collaborate with UGR in some projects. I currently co-supervise three PhD students from there as an External Faculty Member of the Doctoral Programme in Information and Communication Technologies and I am also involved in a few collaborative projects in the area of machine learning for health applications.”
