11 June 2015 - A successful visit from future students to BSS

On Thursday 11th, BSS was visited by 19 primary school children from a 8+ class. They came by bicycle to the UT. At BSS, they followed a 90 minutes program. At first, they were informed by Bert-Jan van Beijnum on background information how to perform a real experiment on activity sensors. In this experiment, they used two different activity sensors (Fitbit and Mobile Phone) to discover which of the two sensors is most accurate. This was investigated by walking, running and jumping. The children worked in groups of 2 or 3 persons and were guided by two young assistants.

The children also saw an Xsens suit in use, and a Google class application.

In overall, it was a successful visit!
