How is the implementation project carried out?

There is a project group, led by project leader Mike van de Steeg. The project steering committee oversees the whole project, with Jan Willem Polderman as chairman. We also have sounding board groups, one for students and also one for teachers. There are several important milestones in the implementation project, see our timeline for more details.

When will we move to Canvas?

With the start of academic year 2018/2019, all courses will only be supported with Canvas. In academic year 2018/2019 Blackboard will no longer be used as Learning Management System.

What will happen with Blackboard?

In the academic year 2018-2019 Blackboard will no longer be used. From 1 October 2018 a Blackboard archive will be available for all current Blackboard users (for more information about the archive, see question below).

Do I have access to my old Blackboard environment?

Untill September 2018:  Adding files or make changes in Blackboard is possible

From October 2018:

- Blackboard archive @UT.

- Read-only, downloading of your Blackboard content still possible

- 2 years available for lecturers and students

From Academic year 2020/2021: Blackboard access on request (for accreditation etc.)

How will we be informed about project progress and milestones?

In a regular pattern there will be Canvas project communication updates at the UT employee portal and in Blackboard. You can also (re)visit this website for more project news and information.
