What is CuriousU?
The CuriousU experience is a one-of-a-kind combination of a summer school and a festival. Our summer school package includes: academic courses, music, sports, theatre, inspirational speakers. We’ve got it all. The last edition of CuriousU in 2016 was a huge success with participants from 40 countries! Check out CuriousU and get inspired.
You wouldn’t want to miss the next edition on 12 - 21 August, 2018. This is definitely the only festival style summer school in Europe!
You can register for CuriousU 2017 up and until 10 August. After this date the registration is closed, so it will be no longer possible to sign up.
What does it Cost?
We offer you a complete package for the course, the festival programme, food and accommodation! Read more about the accommodation options, our courses and the participation fee. The earlybird deadline is 24 May, after this date the fee will go up! You can register for CuriousU 2017 until 9 August.
Information & registration
Yes indeed! CuriousU offers a unique festival-style summer school experience in the Netherlands. Besides our academic courses, there will also be inspirational speakers, entertainment and social activities. There will for example be a band night, a beach volleyball tournament and a movie night. This all takes place at the lively University of Twente campus.

CuriousU is focused on Bachelor’s students in their second to last or last year, and entry level Master’s students, but is also open for anyone with broad interests and an inquisitive mind. So we do not have specific (C)GPA requirements.

Are you between 15 to 18 years?
Have a look at summer camp InspireU. This is an event for both international and Dutch students who haven't yet started their university careers, but are finishing up their high-school education.
Instruction Language is English
Due to the international character the courses and keynotes at CuriousU are all in English. Therefore, CuriousU is a great opportunity to practice your English language skills! We expect you to have a good command of the English language but these language requirements are your own responsibility and will enable you to follow the course lectures. Applicants do not need to prove the suggested language skills in the registration process. Don't worry about communicating with the Dutch, by the way: 90% of the Dutch population understands and speaks English!

Curious about the rest of the Netherlands?
During your stay you can take a trip to Germany (Münster, Osnabrück) or well known cities in the Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht or The Hague. They are all worth a visit and easy to reach by public transport. For example Amsterdam is only about two hours away by train.
