Almost completed your bachelor's degree and keen to explore further with a master's? Good idea! Come visit the campus and discover your future master's. Will we see you on Thursday 19 March 2026 in Enschede?

Please note that the Master Open Day takes place on our campus in Enschede, the Netherlands. Are you living abroad, but would you still like to explore the University of Twente and our master's programmes? Schedule an online meet-up with a student and ask all your questions from the comfort of your own home!

What to expect?

During the Master Open Day, there are two different schedules: one for students visiting the University of Twente for the first time, and one for current bachelor's students at our university. You can find both timetables below.

  • Schedule for non-UT students
    • 15:30 - 16:30 | Campus Tour

      Do you not only want to find out more about your future master's programme, but also discover where you will spend your time as a student? At 15:30, you can join a Campus Tour. Our students are happy to show you around our beautiful campus!

    • 16:15 - 18:15 | Info Market

      Prior to the study presentations, you can visit the Info Market in the canteen of building 'De Waaier', where you can find information on topics such as admission, housing, transferring to a master's as a student of a university of applied sciences (hbo in Dutch), and more. You can also talk to students from different study programmes.

    • 16:45 - 17:10 | In-depth sessions

      You undoubtedly have many questions about what it is like to study at the University of Twente and what opportunities a master's degree can offer you. You can find out more about this during one of the three in-depth sessions. You can choose from:

      Your student life: why UT?
      During this session, you will discover what it is like to be a student at the University of Twente. What are the benefits of getting your master's degree here? And what is student life like on campus and in Enschede?

      Finance & housing in Enschede
      Would you like more information about the practical matters of studying at UT? What about study financing, for example? And how do you find housing? You'll discover this and more during this session.

      Explore your options in chip technology
      Chips are the hidden force behind everything we do. From quantum technology and artificial intelligence to self-driving cars and biomedical research, chip technology is everywhere. Needless to say, experts in this field are in high demand. Are you curious about your opportunities within chip technology? You'll find out all about it in this opening session!

    • 17:15 - 17:40 | Information session - Transferring from Dutch hbo

      Are you studying at a (Dutch) university of applied sciences and do you want to follow up your bachelor's with a master's at the University of Twente? Great idea! You might have some questions about how to transfer, though. Are you admissible? And what do you need to know about the pre-master's? During this in-depth session, you will discover everything you need to know about transferring from your bachelor's degree at a university of applied sciences (Dutch hbo) to a master's programme at the University of Twente.

    • 18:15 - 19:00 | Study round 1

      The study round takes place in the education building of the master's programme you have signed up for. 

      *Please note: not every master's is represented in both rounds. When you sign up, you can indicate which session you want to attend in which round. This way, you can also see which programmes are available.

      Please note: there's no session for the Master's in Technical Medicine. Are you interested? Then please get in touch with the study adviser.

    • 19:15 - 20:00 | Study round 2

      The study round takes place in the education building of the master's programme you have signed up for. 

      *Please note: not every master's is represented in both rounds. When you sign up, you can indicate which session you want to attend in which round. This way, you can also see which programmes are available.

      Please note: there's no session for the Master's in Technical Medicine. Are you interested? Then please get in touch with the study adviser.

  • Schedule for current UT students
    • 15:45 - 16:30 | Study round 1

      Are you considering a master's programme outside your current field of research? Or are you interested in several master's programmes and would you like to compare them? During the study rounds, you will learn more about the master's programme you are interested in and your eligibility.

      *Please note: not every master's is represented in both presentation rounds. When you sign up, you can indicate which study presentation you want to attend in which round. This way, you can also see which programmes are available.

    • 16:15 - 18:15 | Info Market

      During the Master Open Day, you can visit the Info Market in the Waaier canteen. There you will find information on various topics, such as admission requirements and pre-master's. You can also talk to students from different master's programmes and ask them your questions.

    • 16:45 - 17:30 | Study round 2

      Are you considering a master's programme outside your current field of research? Or are you interested in several master's programmes and would you like to compare them? During the study rounds, you will learn more about the master's programme you are interested in and your eligibility.
