Have you experienced or witnessed something that made you feel uncomfortable? From now on, you can quickly find the right support and assistance via the Social Safety Guide. This support guide is intended for staff, students and visitors, and can therefore be found on UT’s public website under ‘Contact’.
Why this support guide?
At UT, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe and welcome to learn, work and grow. We take inappropriate behaviour seriously: from work pressure and bullying to discrimination and harassment. These situations do occur, and when they do, we want everyone to know where to turn. That’s why we chose to use a support guide: not just a standard reporting form, but a guide that directs you to the right support, depending on your situation.
What can you find there?
- Information
What is inappropriate behaviour? What are your options? The help guide explains it clearly. - Support
Whether you have experienced something yourself, witnessed something, or been spoken to about your own behaviour, you will be directed to the right person. - Accessible
Available in Dutch and English, accessible to everyone.
And next?
Having the Support Guide is a first step. In the autumn, we will be launching a wider campaign to raise awareness of social safety within UT and to explain how the support Guide can support you.
