Reminder: Interested in SURF’s Nextcloud pilot? Registration open until 13 February

Within education and research, digital sovereignty is more topical than ever: greater control over data, transparency about where information is stored, and reduced dependency on Big Tech platforms. For this reason, SURF is not running this Nextcloud pilot as a short experiment, but over a longer period (approximately one year), in close collaboration with universities and universities of applied sciences.

Together with other institutions, the University of Twente is exploring whether Nextcloud can serve as a viable open-source alternative for (parts of) our current collaboration environment. This includes working together in teams, shared workspaces and document management, with data hosted in Dutch data centres.

• The pilot will run for approximately one year
• Start for end users: March
• An expression of interest does not yet constitute a final commitment
