Sustainability Week 2025: help drive change for a Sustainable Future

Green Hub Twente is proud to announce the return of Sustainability Week, taking place from 6 – 10 October 2025 on our campus in Enschede. This annual week full of inspiring and fun events brings together students, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore innovative solutions for a more sustainable world.

This year’s theme, “Imagining a Climate Just Future”, focuses on how diverse perspectives and innovative solutions can drive real, impactful change. Over the course of the week, you can engage in many activities varying from interactive workshops to inspiring keynotes and hands-on activities that address pressing challenges in sustainability and climate resilience. Highlight: Imagining a Climate Just Future conference – Wednesday 8 October 2025

What if climate policies were not only greener, but also fairer and more feminist? On Wednesday, 8 October 2025, the University of Twente and Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) invite students, professionals, and the wider public to Imagining a Climate Just Future, a one-day conference at DesignLab, Enschede.

The event asks a bold question: how can we transform the European Green Deal so that it works for people and planet alike? Through an ecofeminist lens, the day will explore why gender equality matters in climate policy, how we can influence decision makers, and how advocacy tools and media campaigns can give climate justice a louder voice.

Sustainability Week is an annual week filled with fun and educational events, designed to inspire, and engage participants to join the sustainability movement. The event is organized by Green Hub Twente, combining their powers with sustainabililty-minded students and staff members to host sustainability-filled events.
