Budget coach for students Smart money management: new programme

Want to keep control of your money and make smart choices during your studies? Starting in January 2026, the UT will launch a new programme focused on financial health: an accessible way to strengthen your financial skills.

What can you expect?

Personal budget coaching
Do you have questions about income, expenses or would you like some useful tips? Make an appointment for a one-on-one meeting with a budget coach.

When? Every two weeks on Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Start: 14 January 2026.

Make your appointment via the SGW secretariat. Consultations are in Dutch or English.

Workshops & lunch lectures
Several times a year, we also organise practical workshops or lunch lectures. Here you can learn more about topics such as:

•        Smart budgeting and saving

•        Student finance and responsible loans

•        Financial planning after graduation

Why participate?
By making smart choices and gaining insight into your financial affairs, you can reduce stress and create more space for what really matters. That is why the Student Well-being Improvement Programme (SWIP) has launched this initiative.

Collaboration
This programme is a collaboration between the UT and ABN AMRO. ABN AMRO is keen to support students and therefore provides substantive expertise and guest speakers. They also do this for other educational institutions as an expression of their social commitment.
