NVP Sollicitatiecode

When recruiting and selecting new staff the University of Twente acts on the basis of the 'NVP Sollicitatiecode', a code of conduct for the transparent and fair recruitment and selection of future members of staff set up by the Dutch Association for Personnel Management and Organization Development. The NVP Sollicitatiecode contains the basic rules on recruitment and selection that labour organizations (companies and institutes that enter into employment relationships) and applicants, in the opinion of the Dutch Association for Personnel Management and Organization Development, are required to comply with when filling vacancies. The purpose of the code is to provide a standard for transparent and fair recruitment and selection procedures. The code has been composed chronologically, from the moment the vacancy is created to the eventual appointment. The labour organization can, if so warranted, adjust the (application of) the code to fit their own specific situation.
