At the Vrijhof location of the Unversity Library a lot of materials are available to help you study or work (together) more comfortably. Provided you hand in your University of Twente student/staff card or library card for the duration of the use, available items include headphones, noise cancelling headphones, laptop chargers, laptop locks and extension cords. You can also borrow two portable beamers and remote controls for the LCD screens to use in the project rooms. The PC room is equiped with Apple VGA adapters, portable DVD writers, keyboards and computer mice are available. Chromebooks can be borrowed for one day use within the library. Reserve rooms for instruction (staff)

There are five spaces with desktop pc's that can be used for instruction. Request use of these rooms for instruction via the contact information on this page. The spaces can be used for studying when they are not booked for an instructional session.

Rules of behavior in the library
  • Bags and coats are allowed in the library, as are bottles of water, but normal (open) cups are prohibited.
  • It is also not allowed to make phone calls or consume alcohol or hot meals/snacks inside the library.

  • 521 study places; 297 of these places situated in project areas 
  • 20 desktop PCs and 14 stand-alone monitors 
  • 44 project areas, including individual study spaces 
  • All project areas aimed at group work have whiteboards, 32 are equipped with LCD screens
