Sponsoring can be used as a marketing communications tool to enhance the corporate image. Linking the University of Twente to an event or team may increase awareness, create a platform to engage with a target audience, support a marketing campaign or increase commitment with target groups.
UT pursues a reluctant sponsoring policy. In addition to review against corporate targets, sponsor request reviews include assessments on publicity value, opportunities for embedding in UT policy, overlaps with the organisation and opportunities for integration in communications.

The Twente University Fund offers students and student organisations, researchers and departments of the University of Twente the chance to apply for financial support from the fund in the form of a guarantee subsidy or subsidy when organising or participating in activities.
