The LEAN Library Plugin simplifies the connection to available digital articles and books. With a few simple steps you'll have access.
After downloading, the plugin will notify you when you’re on a website that your library has a subscription for. Then, it’s just a single click to open the site through the library’s systems and get access to all licensed material on that site.
The plugin shows a in the bookmarks bar. Green meens “access”, grey stands for “access denied”. If the material you’d like to use doesn’t seem accessible, LEAN Library will automatically check for open access versions of the article.
When searching for ebooks, the LEAN Library Plugin searches for the ISBN and informs about possible access, based on University of Twente subscriptions.

Install the extension, select your institution and you are ready to go.
Select any text in your web browser and right-click:
this creates a search in our Library Discovery System (FindUT) or Google Scholar.
By using the LEAN Library Plugin you will remain completely anonymous. The LEAN Library Plugin doesn’t collect any personal information unless you actively share it. And it doesn’t collect your IP address or your device’s unique device IDs.
