With mindfulness training, you learn to focus your attention and to be more in the here and now. You focus on sensory experiences, physical sensations, emotions and thoughts. During the training, attention is paid to learning to observe without judging it or having to do anything with it.
Practising mindfulness leads to changes in your life. Mindfulness helps with worrying, causing you to experience less stress and improve your attention and concentration. You learn to deal better with painful experiences and promote positive emotions. You are also more likely to recognize signals of fatigue and overload, so you can monitor your limits in a timely manner.
Mindfulness does not prevent ups and downs in your life. But it can influence negative experiences in a positive way.
