In this course you will extend your basic knowledge of German and you will reach the CEF-level A2. After this training you will have learned enough German to have a friendly conversation about personal matters and you can follow everyday chats about familiar topics. You will also be able to read short and simple texts, like brochures and ads, as well as write short and simple messages like emails. Participants receive a certificate after 80% attendance.
This course facilitates your relations with German-speaking people, prepares your stay at a university in Germany or an internship in a German company, or is just interesting and for fun.The practicing of skills is embedded in relevant everyday situations and events with focus on issues like housing, study, culture, work and travel in Germany.For this course, a modern learning method with an emphasis on spoken communication will be used.The extension of communicative competences is the central learning objective of this course. Learning from and with each other is essential. Pair and group work therefore play an important role.
The course consists of 10 lessons of two hours each, with one session per week. Attendance at every lesson is essential. Homework is expected to take approximately one hour per lesson.
Participants must have achieved a CEF-level A1 of proficiency in German.
