The Erasmus+ MSc Scholarship Programme provides a full scholarship that is available to students with a very good academic track record, and who are applying for the Erasmus+ GEM Master's degree programme Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management.
There are four tracks to choose from, which integrate academic excellence from the four universities in geospatial science applied to societal challenges for a sustainable world:
- Track 1 – GEM for Urban-Rural Interactions
- Track 2 – GEM for Land Use Systems
- Track 3 – GEM for Ecosystems & Natural Resources
- Track 4 - GEM4 Food Security

Subsistence costs | EUR 1000 per month for maximum 24 months. Application requirements
The Erasmus+ GEM MSc Scholarship Programme is available for excellent students applying for the ITC Master’s degree programme “Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management.”
Additional Requirements
- Upper second class (2.1) BSc honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised university in a discipline related to the course, preferably combined with work experience in a relevant field.
- English: IELTS 6.5
- Relevant background for the intended field of study
- Not eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.
- Not having benefited from any other (previous) Erasmus Mundus scholarship
Detailed Deadline Information
There are two deadlines to choose from. We recommend sending your application before the first deadline. This allows earlier notification and more time to ensure timely payment of the own contribution.

How to apply
If you apply online before 15th March 2022, your application will automatically be considered for an Erasmus+ scholarship.
Candidates who have applied for an Erasmus+ fellowship will be provisionally notified of the outcome by 1st May 2021. Following approval by the EU, the final outcome will be confirmed by 31st May 2021.
FURTHER PROCESS
After receipt of your application, the additional information will be reviewed. ITC will acknowledge receipt of your application. If it is evident that you do not fulfil the minimum requirements for the Erasmus+ GEM MSc Scholarship Programme, you will be notified immediately.
After the dates of the deadline, a committee will make the final selection. The selection results will be announced before the 1st of May. The candidates who will be offered a scholarship will be asked to confirm they accept the scholarship.
