Countries eligible for this scholarship
There is no examination in the selection procedure for this scholarship. The board which comprises of 8 specialists will nominate those who are appropriate to be awarded. The names will be respectfully conveyed to the King asking for final approval. The selection criteria will be based on both the qualifications of the applicants as well as the academic qualifications of the institution of that application.
There is only 1 Anandamahidol scholarship per year. There might be zero students being awarded the scholarship if in that particular year there is no applicant with appropriate qualifications. In certain years, if there is more than one appropriate candidate, the academic committee might propose special case for more than 1 scholarship.
