Science on Tour

Science on Tour

Science on Tour includes exciting experiments that illustrate fascinating physical and chemical phenomena. This University of Twente initiative is designed to fire up enthusiasm for natural sciences and technology in pupils aged 10 to 18.

Exciting experiments

Students from various degree programmes take the audience on an interactive journey through the world that we live in. How can you make objects hover? How does a microwave work? Why does an air-filled balloon slowly deflate? To answer these questions, the students make use of physical and chemical principles like electricity and magnetism, superconductors and liquid nitrogen, fluid mechanics, optics, thermodynamics, catalysis and membrane technology. The students conduct fun and interesting experiments to make these seemingly complicated topics accessible and comprehensible.

The costs for a Science on Tour event differ, depending on the duration and the number of student tutors. Use the table below to calculate the costs of a Science on Tour event.
