Former PCF PhD student Jolet de Ruiter obtained a Rubicon grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) to continue her work as a Postdoc in the group of Prof. Kripa Varanasi at MIT in Boston. The Rubicon programme is intended for newly graduated scientists to gain research experience abroad. The Rubicon is a good stepping stone for the Veni grant from NWO. Jolet’s proposal entitled “Study of drop impact and freezing dynamics under icing conditions” was one of four successful Rubicon proposals in January 2015.
