Mohamed Abdelaziz

My name is Mohamed E. M. K. Abdelaziz. I come from Cairo, Egypt and I am currently pursuing my PhD in the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery, Imperial College London. I joined the University of Twente to pursue an MSc. in Systems and Control, specializing in Robotics and Mechatronics from 2014-2016. The diverse course options and innovative research opportunities at the University of Twente (Robotics and Mechatronics group) changed my life completely and helped provide clear goals and direction for the rest of my career and confirmed my interest in the field of medical and surgical robotics.

I was extremely lucky to study at the University of Twente, as it one of the world's leading universities of technology, with excellent research facilities led by a group of world-renowned professors and complemented with top-notch researchers. I always miss UT's college life and all my precious time spent with my fellow colleagues. Enschede is a great city, the people are friendly and great, housing is affordable and the city is bicycle friendly too!
