Our eligibility check is designed to assist you as a student holding a non-Dutch diploma. It gives you an indication of your eligibility, i.e. your chances of being admitted to the master's programme Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society. The e-check takes about five minutes to complete. The outcome of the eligibility check is a personal advice to you. Please note that this is not the official admission procedure and that no rights can be derived from the outcome of the eligibility check.

Admission requirements Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society

Required knowledge

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in (Applied) Natural Science, Engineering Science, Social Science or Philosophy
  • Knowledge of the following topics: Academic skills

» Required information to prove the fulfilment of the requirement:

  • Copy of diploma
  • Transcript of records
  • Complete an academic skills test, submitted after your application form has been accepted

Language skills

  • Sufficient mastery of the English language.

  • Academic IELTS, 6.5 on the IELTS where all sub-scores are at least 6.0 or equivalent, or · TOEFL, internet based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 90, or · Cambridge CAE-C (CPE)
  • In addition to these requirements, we require Chinese nationals to submit a Nuffic certificate


  • A letter of motivation in which you describe your expectations of the programme and your further career (max. 2 pages).
