Study association Astatine

We encourage you to lead an active student life, by becoming a member of the study association.

S.A. Astatine is the study association for the Master's in Nanotechnology and the Bachelor's in Advanced Technology. Its primary goal is to look after the interests of all the students involved in both study programmes, by providing a community, creating opportunities for personal development, and evaluating the curriculum. This is done by the means of a combination of both educational and extracurricular activities.

Why should I join?

  • S.A. Astatine organises a lot of fun activities, both study-related and non-study-related, such as excursions to companies, lunch lectures, parties and drinks. Highlights are the international study trips, both inside and outside of Europe!
  • As a member of the association, you get offered a discount on study books and drawing materials. Joining S.A. Astatine actually saves you money.
  • You are more than welcome to join one of the committees and help organising events, for example. It’s a great thing to put on your resume as well!

Develop your entrepreneurial spirit

At UT, we train you to be the global citizen of tomorrow. Education alone is not enough, being active both in and outside of the classroom boosts your personal development. Our students regularly organise exciting activities and events on campus and in the nearby city of Enschede. They learn to collaborate with students and professionals from other disciplines and from different backgrounds. These experiences are invaluable in helping students develop useful skills that will serve them well in their future careers.
