The admission requirements of this Master’s degree programme distinguishes students into:
- Students from outside the Netherlands holding a Bachelor’s degree
- Students with a Dutch Bachelor's degree of Applied Sciences (HBO)
- Students with a University of Twente Bachelor's degree
- Students with a Dutch degree of a (Research) University

Request for an exemption for certain areas of expertise
Anyone wishing to pursue studies or conduct research concentrating on Non-linear Solid Mechanics, Precision Engineering or Applied Mechanics and Data Analysis, at the University of Twente is required to request an exemption from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. This exemption applies to MSc students who wish to enroll in a degree programme, as well as PhD’s and employees who conduct research in one of the research areas mentioned.
