The University of Twente is one of the few universities in the world to offer a dedicated programme in Internet Science & Technology. Other universities tend to only offer related courses as part of either electrical engineering or computer science. Twente has a long tradition in the field of Internet Science & Technology: it is home to the Centre for Telematics and Information Technology (CTIT), and many telematics-related companies are located nearby. The research we carry out is of the highest standard. One cutting-edge project focuses on vehicular networks that improve traffic flow and road safety by enabling cars to communicate with each other and with roadside devices. Other examples include advanced monitoring and intrusion-detection techniques for the Internet, and performance evaluation methods and tools.
Are you looking for a degree programme that combines telecommunication with computer science? Are you keen to tackle the challenges of the future? If so the Master’s in Internet Science & Technology is a great way to spend the next two years. You will learn all about the technology and applications of long-distance automatic data-processing and wireless and fixed networks. You can facilitate non-stop data communication by mastering processes that are swift, impeccably designed and – above all – secure in use. In other words, you will be in a position to deliver what the world is waiting for.
