What’s next after you’ve completed your Master of Science degree? Are you interested in a career in research? The Twente Graduate School (TGS) plays a vital role in our research. coordinates high-quality educational programmes based on topics closely related to the work of the university’s research institutes, taught and supervised by expert researchers and designers. TGS offers PhD and PDEng programmes for graduate students who are keen to pursue a career as a scientific researcher or technological designer.

Industrial Engineering and Operations Research

The programme focuses on methods and models for the design of algorithms and information systems that support the self-organized urbanized networked systems.

Applied Mathematics

As an applied mathematician, you occupy a key position in the scientific world. Through mathematical models, you grasp the essence of a problem and see links between seemingly unrelated phenomena.

Industrial Engineering and Management

This programme trains you to design, control and optimize processes in complex organizations and businesses in a global context, using mathematical modelling, computer simulations and advanced ICT.

Information Technology and Communication

Its unique multi-disciplinary approach makes the institute an attractive partner. The institute maintains an extensive international network of contacts and working relations with academia and industry. This network includes ICT and manufacturing companies, universities and research institutes, health care organisations, financial institutes, governmental organisations, and logistics service providers.

CTIT is one of the founding fathers of the Netherlands Institute for Research on ICT (3TU.NIRICT); this institute bundles the ICT research and innovation activities of the three Universities of Technology in the Netherlands. 3TU.NIRICT is core-member of EIT.ICT Labs. Aim of EIT.ICT Labs is to become a pan-European flagship uniting Education, Research and Innovation for the Future Information and Communication Society.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

We adopt a multi-actor, multi-level perspective to study the processes of innovation, entrepreneurship and new business developments.

Business Administration

Do you want to devise solutions to complex and global business problems? We will teach you how to apply scientific methods in practice and equip you for a successful career in the business world.

Industrial Engineering and Management

This programme trains you to design, control and optimize processes in complex organizations and businesses in a global context, using mathematical modelling, computer simulations and advanced ICT.

Spatial Engineering

The Master’s programme Spatial Engineering prepares you to address major multi-level spatial problems with a combination of technical and socio-economic knowledge.

Social Sciences, Innovation & Governance

Issues of coordination, steering and operating institutions and networks in the public and private sectors are key focuses of research, utilizing a multi-level, multi-actor systems perspective, with reference to the social and behavioural sciences. IGS works to combine scientific excellence with relevance for our stakeholders in the public and private sector.
