Materials Science & Engineering is a multi-disciplinary specialisation with a strong emphasis on the development of materials and science and engineering skills.
This specialisation is part of the Master's in Chemical Engineering.
The specialisation Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Twente offers a true multi-disciplinary curriculum. Most importantly, the knowledge of materials’ atomic and molecular level implications on macroscopic properties is uniquely combined with strategies of materials selection, preparation and characterisation for engineering and technology. Therefore, selected courses are handpicked from existing master programmes
Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Physics combined with a final master’s thesis project performed at one of the many materials-related research groups at UT. Completing the programme will give graduates access to a broad scope of Dutch companies and (research) institutes using and developing modern materials and beyond.
The specialisation Materials Science & Engineering of the Master’s in Chemical Engineering is for everyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of process engineering.
