Study association Alembic

We encourage you to lead an active student life, by becoming a member of the study association.

C.T.S.G. Alembic is the study association of the Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemical Science & Engineering. Its primary goal is to look after the interests of all students involved in the study programmes, by providing a community, creating opportunities for personal development, career orientation, educational support and educational improvement.

Why should I join?

As a member of the association, you get offered a discount on study books and you get access to the exam bank with summaries and test exams.
C.T.S.G. Alembic organises career orientation activities to make sure you can choose your future employment wisely. Also, they offer a variety of workshops to develop skills that can help you develop yourself outside of your study.
Moreover, it’s fun to join C.T.S.G. Alembic. Throughout the year, various activities are organised like drinks, pub quizzes, sport-related activities and Alembic even has a committee that organises activities specifically for master’s students to socialise with fellow students.
There is free coffee and tea in the association room in the Carré building.

From wall climbing to survival, from soccer to water polo, there is a variety of different sports to choose from. As a member of a sports club or as an individual athlete you can make use of the many sports fields located on campus.

Next to study associations, you can find associations in performing arts, sport, social, world and business. You can find them everywhere on campus.

Join a student team

Our multidisciplinary student teams are great examples of extracurricular activities that successfully combine education and research. Broaden your horizon in exciting ways, for example by developing biosensors for medical applications or designing and building sustainable vehicles and competing against teams from other universities around the world.

Our students regularly organise exciting activities and events on campus and in the nearby city of Enschede.
