Given the international ambitions of many Dutch and global organisations, you will have excellent job opportunities as a BA graduate, specialised in International Management & Consultancy (IMC). You can start in a wide variety of international management or consultancy functions. You could also start up your own business. More interested in doing research? You can also opt to further develop yourself by continuing with a PhD.

Type of degree

When you have completed this Master’s with the specialisation in IMC, you will receive a Master’s degree in Business Administration and the title Master of Science (MSc). Your specialisation will be mentioned specifically on your diploma supplement, highlighting your specialised knowledge and skills in International Management & Consultancy.

Job opportunities

Professionals with a Master’s degree in Business Administration are in high demand on the job market. An increased number of businesses worldwide are in search of ambitious, business-savvy professionals who can help them advance internationally. Thus, specialising in International Management & Consultancy will offer you a broad range of career prospects, whether you want to work (abroad) at a large multinational or at a local Dutch firm seeking to step up their international game.

You will be able to make a difference to businesses and society in many types of jobs and organisations. Graduates start in a wide variety of international management or consultancy functions. For example, you could start a(n international) management traineeship at a multinational or a Dutch company starting to internationalise, like many of our graduates did. Moreover, you could fulfil a junior consultant position at a management consultancy firm or start working as a business strategy developer at a born global.

Continue as a researcher: obtain a PhD

Instead of pursuing a professional career right away after completing your Master’s degree, you can opt to follow a PhD programme at Twente Graduate School (TGS). This involves spending four years studying a particular research area in-depth at one of our research institutes. Obtaining your PhD earns you the title of Doctor (Dr).
