University of Twente moving up the QS ranks

The University of Twente climbs into the top 200 within the QS ranking. After occupying position 228 in 2013 and 212 in 2014, Twente now holds the 188th position in the global university rankings.

Dutch universities can still rival the best in the world, according to the international ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). According to QS, twelve Dutch universities rank among  the best two hundred in the world.

The QS rankings are based partly on the reputation of institutions among 75,000 academics. The reputation among employers is also included, together with the number of students per lecturer, the citation scores of researchers and the number of foreign students and staff.

The University of Twente is a leading international research university in Europe, where excellent scienceis combined with an international orientation. That is reflected in the results of the QS ranking, in which the University of Twente excels in the number of citations per faculty and the number of foreign students.
