Drop-in Course HRM & Innovation
Strengthen your perspective on the people side of innovation
Do you want to deepen your understanding of innovation from a human and organisational perspective? The HRM & Innovation drop-in course allows you to take a fully English-taught Master’s course at the University of Twente, together with regular Master’s students. You become part of an academic learning environment in which reflection, collaboration and application are closely connected.
About the course
The course HRM & Innovation focuses on the social dimension of innovation. It explores how organisations can create the conditions that enable people to contribute to and sustain innovation. Key themes include human resource management, leadership, organisational design, collaboration and the tension between innovation and day-to-day operations.
You work in multidisciplinary teams on a real-life challenge. Professionals and students learn from each other by combining academic perspectives with diverse experiences from different organisational contexts.
Course structure
The course consists of lectures, interactive sessions, individual and group assignments and self-study. The team project forms the backbone of the course. Under the guidance of the lecturer, teams are coached throughout the process, with attention to academic depth and professional development.
The mix of Master’s students and working professionals creates a rich learning environment in which different viewpoints strengthen both discussion and outcomes.

Who is it for?
This drop-in course is designed for professionals with a higher professional education level (Bachelor equivalent) who are interested in HRM, innovation and organisational development. You are motivated to actively participate in an academic setting and to collaborate with Master’s students.
