Bachelor students
Below you can find information on the Bachelor modules offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science (EWI) that are open for registration for exchange students on Bachelor level. Modules are 15EC educational units that you need to take as a whole. However, there are some exemptions. In some modules it is possible to substitute the mathematics component belonging to the module with a different mathematics course. See comments. Please note that for certain modules there are prerequisites, see table. Bachelor courses are open to exchange students on a Bachelor level.
Courses and timetables
There is a small chance that courses will change slightly, won’t be offered anymore or the current time period will be changed. To minimalize the risk that courses are scheduled on the same day/time:
- You can check the timetable for the current academic year on rooster.utwente.nl (add timetable, select either study programme for Masters EWI, or subject by name or course code).
- Furthermore courses are less likely to coincide in the timetable, when you pick courses within a programme or specialization.
- For the study programmes check (www.utwente.nl/ist, https://www.utwente.nl/csc/programme/ à choose specialization, www.utwente.nl/mbit, www.utwente.nl/hmi, www.utwente.nl/ee --> specialization, www.utwente.nl/sc, www.utwente.nl/am, www.utwente.nl/emsys)
- For certain courses there are prerequisites, which can be found in the course catalogue. Master courses are open to exchange students on a Master level and in some exceptional cases to exchange students in their final Bachelor year with sufficient preknowledge.
The faculty of EEMCS does not recommend exchange students to follow some of our bachelor/master courses given at Universities elsewhere in the Netherlands, this due to practical administrative matters and travelling time and costs.
