Students queue up for second Online Open Day

Potential UT students once again had a chance to hear, see and explore the University of Twente on Wednesday 28 November. The University of Twente held its second Online Open Day, with 2233 registrations for the event. A record for the UT. Potential students from all over the world (147 different nationalities) tuned in to catch a first glimpse of the university.

Not every student has the opportunity to explore the UT on campus before making their a choice regarding study programme and destination. So why not make use of all the opportunities digitalization offers us? The Online Open Day involved 13 presenters, 5 information sessions, 3 Live Q&A sessions, 3 time slots, several 360° videos and pictures and much more.

Attendees showed interest in bachelor’s, master’s and PhD options, with business, engineering, environmental management, computer science, energy and geo-information related programmes creating a lot of interest.

Programme

Visitors were able to chat to staff members, hear from current students about their experiences at the UT and virtually explore our campus online. From interactive maps with 360° videos and pictures to individual chat sessions and discussions, the Open Online Day programme had plenty to offer. Participants from all over the world were able to take part, without leaving the comfort of their own homes, schools and workplaces.

In order to make it accessible to multiple time zones, the complete programme had three starting times: 11am, 2pm or 5pm and topics covered during the Online Open Day  included the following:

  • The University of Twente in a nutshell
  • Practical matters
  • Student life
  • After your studies
